Job Overview

We are seeking an admin assistant to join our team within the Therapies Department which is based at SGH. You will have contact with patients both face to face and by telephone. The team is an established team of 9 and provides admin cover Monday to Friday.

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills as you will be dealing with many patients both face to face and by telephone. It would be ideal if you had an understanding of Trust booking systems but this is not essential as training will be given. We are looking for someone to join our team working at least Wednesday, Thursday and Friday each week. We can offer flexibility with hours by working either 8.30am to 4.30pm or 9am to 5pm. You will be based in the Therapies Department, B Level, SGH.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Experience
Essential criteria
  • Good standard of education with literacy and numeracy skills to GCSE pass level 4-9 or equivalent standard
  • NVQ 2 diploma or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working in a customer‑led environment
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office packages
  • Evidence of computer literacy
Desirable criteria
  • Courses/further study attended to demonstrate evidence of personal development
  • Proficient in the use of hospital computerised patient systems
  • Call handling experience
  • Experience of working shifts.
