  • Manage ADM & Rosario process from start to finish.
  • Conduct airline training for the reservations team.
  • Advise after-sales team of disruptions affecting passengers.
  • Cover the out-of-hours emergency line as part of a rota.

Aviation Operations Manager - London / Birmingham / Peterborough / Hybrid

Salary and benefits: circa £40,000 DOE plus benefits. Contract length: Permanent, Full time.

Locations: Home-based, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Greater London, Central London, Warwickshire, West Midlands, Birmingham, Coventry, Worcestershire.

We’re looking for an Aviation Operations Manager to join a leading Tour Operator. This is a fabulous opportunity for a candidate who will be responsible for all Aviation Projects, building relationships with GDS providers, securing new deals, meeting targets and driving our client’s aviation business forward. The role will involve liaising with existing e‑sales customers, reservations and airlines.

Previous experience in a similar role within the travel sector is essential, along with excellent worldwide airline and fares knowledge and a willingness to assist with out‑of‑hours cover. In return, our client can offer a competitive salary circa £40k DOE plus benefits.

This role can be based out of London, Birmingham or Peterborough on a hybrid basis.

Role of Aviation Operations Manager
  • The main aspect of the role will be project management and to oversee the ticket department on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that the reservations team is updated with new fares, special fares and changes to routings by communicating effectively daily fare updates.
  • Assist with GDS relationship at the operational level.
  • Monitor competitor activity and pricing across airlines on a weekly basis.
  • Specialist fare management, including cruise fares, NDC, I.T fares, e‑global, corporate fares and one‑way fares, ensuring they are loaded into all GDS systems (Amadeus and Galileo).
  • Manage ADM & Rosario process from start to finish.
  • In conjunction with the training department conduct and help to coordinate airline training for the reservations team.
  • Manage relationships with egenen sales customers to keep them updated with relevant new fares.
  • Analyse fares, airline information and identify and proactively promote good deals to marketing, management and reservations.
  • Advise reservations and after‑sales team of any disruptions to airline services that will affect passengers and ensure contingency plans are followed.
  • Cover the out‑of‑hours emergency line as part of a rota.
