Job description
Overview

We are looking to appoint an ambitious, dynamic Motor Vehicle Trainer Assessor to join our team. You must be a highly skilled and motivated individual whose passion is to inspire students to excel and achieve the highest standards within the sector. The ideal candidate will have a background and understanding within the sector and will be able to support apprentices on the L3 Light Vehicle Motor Technician standard and any relevant mandatory qualifications at levels 2 & 3.

Responsibilities
  • Support apprentices through workplace coaching, delivery of lessons, preparing for end point assessment, carrying out workplace assessments, conducting progress reviews and setting action plans in conjunction with employers.
  • Support apprentices with personal development and understanding of wider skills topics.
  • Perform IQA duties within an existing team and contribute to developing the College's offer of apprenticeship standards in conjunction with employer partners and awarding bodies.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of a level 3 motor vehicle qualification.
  • A recognisd assessment qualification (TAQA, A1, V1 or equivalent) would be advantageous; the college would support applicants to achieve these upon appointment.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of using an e-portfolio system would be beneficial.
  • Understanding of all aspects of workplace assessment; willingness to develop further through College support.

Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.
