A leading automotive group in the UK is seeking a Health & Safety Manager to develop, implement, and maintain their Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management system. The role requires strong communication and analytical skills and extensive knowledge of UK health and safety legislation. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance, conducting audits, and managing risk assessments. The ideal candidate will hold a NEBOSH qualification and have experience in a high-risk environment. Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a dedicated Health and Safety role, preferably within the automotive or similar high-risk environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of UK Health, Safety, and Environmental legislation.
  • Specific knowledge of safety relating to Work Place Transport Regulations, vehicle repair, and hazardous substances.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and review comprehensive HSE policies tailored to the auto trade environment.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant UK legislation and conduct internal audits.
  • Lead investigation of accidents and develop preventive actions.
  • Deliver H&S training programs for all staff.
