Job Title: AutoCAD Technician

Overview

Omega are supporting well-established building services contractor, in Wakefield, in their search for a skilled AutoCAD Technician. The successful AutoCAD Technician will be responsible for producing high-quality technical drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and electrical installations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements. This is a full-time, office-based role requiring strong CAD expertise, accuracy, and the ability to work within deadlines.

Responsibilities
  • Produce 2D AutoCAD drawings for mechanical and electrical building services, including HVAC layouts, plumbing schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Interpret engineer\'s designs, sketches, and specifications into accurate CAD drawings.
  • Maintain drawing standards, layering conventions, and file management procedures.
  • Revise and update drawings based on mark-ups and feedback from engineers and project managers.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, technical standards, and company quality procedures.
  • Liaise with design engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify technical details.
  • Support the project team with technical information and accurate drawing outputs.
  • Manage workloads effectively to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proficient in AutoCAD with demonstrable experience in building services (HVAC, plumbing, and electrical).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drafting.
