Job description
The role

We are looking for a qualified auditor to join our Film, TV and Video Games team in London. This is a busy and rewarding role that would suit someone looking partner with clients in an exciting industry.

In this position, you will report into managers, directors, and partners.

Our clients include all of the major Hollywood studios, major streaming networks as well as many independent film and television production companies in the US and UK. We also work with many other entities ancillary to film and television production, such as film financiers, visual effects and post‑production houses and other service providers. Finally, we work with a number of video games developers ranging from small independents to large multi‑national studios.

The responsibilities

Aside from the typical audit/accountancy work you might expect, the more specialised work you would have exposure to would be as follows:

  • Preparation and review of BFI certificate applications
  • Preparation of production expenditure analysis for inclusion in tax returns
  • Preparation of expenditure credit estimates for upcoming productions/games
  • Preparation of production cost report audits for both individual productions and co‑productions
  • Preparation and audit of funding applications and reports
The team

The Film & TV division has approximately 80 staff, including 7 Partners and 3 Directors. You will have a support network from Trainees all the way up to Partners.

The Film & TV team is separate from the other audit departments within the firm, though works alongside other teams.

You
  • ACA or ACCA qualified, with experience working in an audit and accounts practice
  • Passionate about delivering quality and ensures that client needs are met, benefiting both the client and the firm

  • Shows both a strong technical accounting and audit knowledge and an ability to apply this to bespoke client situations.

  • A 35 hour working week and a hybrid working policy with a minimum of 2 days in the office (our core hours are 10-4)
