About The Team

Audit Quality Support Team (AQST)delivers the foundations for audit quality. AQST plays a vital role insupporting our audit practice. It forms part of the firm's system of qualitymanagement; is responsible for designing methodologies and tools that ensurecompliance with auditing and ethical standards and other requirementsapplicable to audit and assurance engagements; and supports the delivery ofengagements that comply with the firm's methodologies and related riskmanagement policies and procedures. As an Audit Quality Senior Manager, youwill specialise in inflight (hot) quality reviews and will contribute to thedelivery of high-quality audits through leading some of the inflight reviews,supporting and coaching our audit teams, with particular focus on audits ofentities in banking sector.

What You'll Do
  • Lead a number of in-flightreviews in banking sector
  • Support AQST Partners andDirectors and coach AQST managers on in-flight reviews and other qualityinitiatives, working in line with the firm's policies and processes and meetingrelevant regulatory requirements.
  • Build strong workingrelationships with audit teams and coaching them throughout the process ofin-flight reviews.
  • Together with the in-flightreviews team assist the Audit Learning and Development Team in reviews oftechnical training content.
  • Work with the Audit QualitySupport Team on ad hoc non-sector specific projects, including supportingexternal regulatory reviews where relevant.
What You'll Bring

We are seeking an experiencedAudit Senior Manager with a minimum of 5 years of recent UK audit experiencewith the following skills and attributes:

  • ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent)qualification.
  • Strong experience of working onaudits of PIEs and listed entities in banking sector.
  • Strong experience of auditingbanking specific areas and performing controls-based audits.
  • Experience of working on complexaudits and audits of international groups.
  • Strong practical and theoreticalknowledge of UKauditing, ethical, and accounting standards, including IFRS.
  • Currently operating at a seniormanager or experienced manager level.
  • Ability to work independently,manage multiple work commitments, and to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Experience of managingothers.
  • Ability and willingness tochallenge and influence more senior individuals and peers.
  • Ability to challenge, managedifficult conversations with empathy and balancing coaching with riskmanagement.
  • Experience of performing ‘hot' or‘cold' audit file reviews is desirable.
