RPS, a TetraTech company, is seeking an Associate Director/Technical Director – Town Planning to support its National Development and Infrastructure Planning team in Leeds. This key role involves working collaboratively on major projects across energy, transport, and strategic housing sectors, including renewable energy, airports, ports, residential, and infrastructure developments.

About the Team: Our team leads planning and EIA for significant energy and infrastructure projects across the UK, including offshore wind farms, interconnectors, solar farms, and battery storage. We work with clients like SSE, BP, RWE, and others on over 20 DCO projects, including the Mona Offshore Wind Project and Gatwick Expansion.

Responsibilities: As Technical Director, you will oversee major infrastructure and renewable projects, build and mentor multidisciplinary teams, develop client relationships, and secure new business. Your role includes providing professional consultancy, coordinating submissions, and supporting frameworks and tenders.

Candidate Profile: You should have experience in large energy and infrastructure projects, MRTPI qualification or relevant discipline, strong leadership qualities, experience as an expert witness, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record in winning projects and managing teams.
