Job description

Pay Rate: £32,000 to £34,000
Grade: M grade
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Monday to Friday 8am to 16:30
Location: Hatfield AL10 9TR 25% travel required

On a weekly basis, inmates have the opportunity to order basics goods, like shampoo and chocolate, that they pay for with their own funds. At DHL, we manage the picking, packing and distribution of these orders.

We're now looking for a Assistant Supply Chain Manager who will play an integral role in the prisoners' lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE
  • Managing the day to day operations of the stock team, managing that team and being the first point of call of any issues.
  • Play a key role in the supply chain management team
  • Trouble shoot and resolve any stock related issues that have been escalated
  • To ensure operational and commercial KPI's are met and exceeded
  • Responsibility for all issues relating to Health & Safety and Training
  • Sharing responsibility of the monthly SC&L clinics with workshops and looking into any request/issue, providing feedback/solutions
THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO
  • Track record of team management and development
  • Experienced user and developer of Supply Chain systems
  • Knowledge of supply chain market
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Supply Chain qualifications desirable
  • Ability to travel to 22 site across the UK
  • Criminal record check required Security clearance
  • Can provide three years of UK address history (mandatory for enhanced security clearance)
