Overview

Job Title Assistant Site Services Officer

Employment Status: Part time, permanent

Working Hours: 20 hours per week, all year round. Alternating weekly

Week 1 – 6.00am-10.00am

Week 2 – 2.00pm-6.00pm

Actual Salary: £13,613 - £14,271 pro rata, per annum

Full time equivalent salary: Support Staff Pay Scale Grade 3 – FTE £25,185 - £26,403

About the role

We are seeking to appoint a reliable, professional, and practical individual. The successful candidate will support our school in providing a safe, effective, and efficient learning environment. Assistant Site Services Officer responsibilities will include opening and closing the premises, basic maintenance and repairs, waste management, porterage, emergency call outs and health and safety checks. Duties will also include ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and security is maintained to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises.

Responsibilities also include safeguarding duties related to ensuring a safe environment for children and familiarity with policies as directed by the trust/academy.

Requirements
  • Approachable and friendly; able to communicate effectively
  • General knowledge of COSHH regulations, Working at Height regulations, Electricity at work regulations, Manual Handling regulations
  • Ability to undertake general tasks not requiring skilled trade qualifications (e.g., basic electrics, building, plastering, plumbing, gardening, carpentry and glazing)
  • Full, clean driving licence

All staff are expected to know what to do if they have concerns about a child, to contribute to a safe environment and to undertake safeguarding training. Familiarise yourself with KCSIE part 1 and local policies and procedures as directed by the trust/academy.
