Salary: £43,000 per annum OTE
Hours: 48 hours per week (including evenings and weekends)

About the Role

We’re looking for an inspiring, detail‑driven Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our leadership team and play a vital role in the continued success of one of the Cotswolds’ most respected dining destinations. Working alongside the Restaurant Manager, you’ll lead, coach and motivate our talented team, drive service excellence and operational smoothness, and ensure every guest leaves feeling genuinely valued.

Your Responsibilities
  • Support daily operations across the restaurant and private dining spaces.
  • Oversee preparation and setup to the highest presentation standards.
  • Maintain an expert overview of floor service, flow and guest experience.
  • Lead daily briefings and tastings with the kitchen team.
  • Motivate, train and support the front‑of‑house team.
  • Manage reservations and coordinate guest flow with the Host team.
  • Drive revenue through confident menu knowledge and upselling.
  • Resolve guest feedback calmly and professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene standards.
  • Support with rota management, recruitment and performance reviews.
Your Skills & Experience

On‑target earning potential for this role is £43,000 per annum based on a 48‑hour contract – comprising a base salary of £35,000 plus a qualified estimate of £8,000 in gratuities and service charge. Gratuities are paid on a pro‑rata basis. In full‑time employees can expect to receive in the region of £8,000 in addition to their annual salary. Please note this role is paid hourly so this is a projected salary and OTE.
