CostsLawServiceshavegrownexponentiallynationwidetoformateamofover30LawCostsDraftsmenandLawyerswithimmenseexperienceinallaspectsofcostslawintheUKand35+staffnationwide.NotOnlydotheyrepresentanationallegalaidpracticeonalltheirbilling,theyarenowfocusingongrowingtheirclientbaseintheUK,andduetothevastexpansionrequireanAssistantManager toassisttheCityofLondonTeam.

Theirbroadspectrumofbillingservicesvariesacrossmultipleareasofpracticeisbasedonasound knowledgeofthecostssystemandtheabilitytomanageclientexpectationstoensuretheircashflow ismaintained.

TheirworkinvolvesawidevarietyoflegalpracticeareasandincludingCourtofProtection,Children Law,ClinicalNegligence,CommercialLitigation,Family,Housing&PropertyLitigation,Immigration, JudicialReviewandPersonalInjurymatters.Thisincludes,allthevariedtypesofBills,PODS; Replies;Negotiations;Budgets–relevantprecedents,PAandDAassessmentsetc..

TheRole:

Theidealcandidatewillhavestrongtechnicalknowledgeandexperienceofdraftingbills,excellentnegotiationskills,supervisionortrainingexperiencewouldbebeneficial.CostLawserviceswouldalsobekeenoncandidatewhoarelookingtoreducetheirCostspracticeforamoreAssistant managementrole.

ThesuccessfulcandidatewillbepartofamanagementteaminassistingoftheoverallbusinessdevelopmentoftheCompany.Thecandidatewillberequiredtodevelopandgrowthecompanybyexpandingitsclientbase,whilstsupervisingateam.

Thecandidatewillbeinvolvedinperformancemanagementofdraftsmenandlawyersemployedor engagedasconsultantsalongwith,auditingandreporting,

TherolemayalsoinvolveassistingtheManagerinrecruitmentofcandidatesthatwillhelpdeliver companyobjectives,wherenecessary.

Theidealcandidatewillalsobeinvolvedindevelopingpolicy,stafftraining,strategicplanningand implementationofbusinessobjectives.

PromotingtheCompanythroughsocialmediaactivitywillbeanessentialpartoftherole.

  • EnsuringCompanyperformancetargetsaremetforteammembers;
  • TrainingdraftsmeninInterPartesmattersofLAAandensuringchangesinCostsLaw orbillingpractices/proceduresarecascadedtotheteaminatimelymanner;
  • Carryingoutstaffappraisals;
  • Businessdevelopment–lookingtomarkettheCompanyinaccordancewiththestrategicbusinessdevelopmentplantoincreaseclientbaseandturnover;
  • GuidingstaffwhohavequerieswhendraftingLegalAidClaims(Claim1’s/Claim1a’s/Claim2’s,interpartesbills,budgetsandplans);
  • ToliaiseandadviseClientsfeeearnersofandsupportstaffinrelationtothevarietyof legalcostsmatters;
  • Keepinguptodateandfurtherdevelopingcompanypolicy,procedures,manualsand casemanagementsystems;
  • InvolvedinCompanystrategicplanningandimplementationofbusinessobjectives.
