The Company
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Duty Manager to join a fantastic retailer based in the West Midlands. The main purpose of the role is to lead and manage the trading of your key sales floors.
The Role
- Recruiting Sales Assistants in line with Company policy and legislation.
- Ensure product is merchandised according to brand guidelines and in line with promotional activity
- Ensure visual merchandising are compliant with Company guidelines and policies at all times.
- Support the development of the sales floor team from induction and ongoing through leadership and coaching increasing levels of performance.
- Ensure that the highest levels of customer service possible is given by staff members/sales assistants.
- Manage stock availability in order to maximise sales and operating standards.
- Manage high standards of health and safety and security within the sales / trading areas of the store.
- Undertake responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Deliver results for the store in order to meet and exceed targets.

Skills Required
- Previous retail supervisory experience is essential – minimum 2 years experience
- Able to run own department
- Come from a fashion or soft furnishings /homeware background
- Be able to lead and manage a team
- Previous experience in dealing with customers
- Managing a store over 28,000 square foot in the absence of a Store Manager
