  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments.
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances.
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Analysing operating expenditure and identifying trends and efficiencies.
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls and supporting process improvements.

Assistant Management Accountant – Temporary

Location: Huntingdon (hybrid working – approx. 2 days per week onsite)
Rate: £23.00 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temporary, up to 6 months

We are working with a well-established organisation in Huntingdon who are seeking an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team on a temporary basis.

This role will support the delivery of accurate and timely management information, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support both operational and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Posting journals, accruals, and prepayments
  • Reconciling balance sheet accounts and investigating variances
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes

Candidate Requirements
  • Graduate or AAT qualified, with progression towards CIMA or ACCA
