Overview
Hirexo are working with a rapidly growing FMCG business headquartered in West London, located close to Hammersmith underground station (District, Piccadilly, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines). With ambitious plans to continue scaling in the UK, Europe, and the US, they are seeking a bright and proactive Assistant Financial Controller to support their next stage of development.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and consolidate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements under IFRS and/or US GAAP.
- Oversee intercompany reconciliations across subsidiaries, ensuring timely resolution of variances.
- Manage external audit processes and coordinate with tax advisors across multiple jurisdictions.
- Maintain the group chart of accounts, ensuring accounting consistency internationally.
- Enhance internal controls, processes, and policies, supporting continuous improvement.
- Provide technical accounting guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standards.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, supporting development and succession planning.
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Europe and the US to deliver accurate and timely reporting.
- Support ad-hoc strategic projects as required by the Finance Director and Managing Director.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA / CPA).
- Big 4 background is highly desirable. They will consider those qualified from practice with great industry experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK and US GAAP, with excellent consolidation experience.
- International exposure, ideally working across European and US reporting lines.
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, or e-commerce is desirable but not essential.
- Advanced Excel and financial reporting skills, with experience in ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clarity in reporting.
- Team management experience is essential; international team leadership is desirable.
- A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to take initiative and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
The Package
- Salary of £55,000 to £65,000 depending on experience
- Hybrid working (3 days in office, 2 days remote).
