Qualifications

  • Forward-thinking with an analytical approach when reviewing data.

Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of income and posting banking transactions.
  • Accounting and administration relating to expenses and credit cards.
  • Assist in month-end processes including accruals and payroll.
  • Prepare daily cash reporting for cash flow forecasting.
  • Assist in VAT and PAYE administration.

Main Responsibilities

  • Own the Numbers: Daily monitoring of income and post ad hoc banking transactions outside the standard ledgers.
  • Keep Things Moving: Accounting and administration relating to expenses and credit cards.
  • Be the Go-To Expert: Support our purchase ledger clerk with queries, invoices, credit notes and payments.
  • Close with Confidence: Assist in month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, payroll and ad hoc journals.
  • Deliver Insight: Prepare daily cash reporting to assist in the weekly cash flow forecasting process to enable decisions and actions for future cash requirements.
  • Stay Balanced: Assist in the preparation of accurate balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Stay Compliant: Assist with VAT and PAYE administration with precision.
  • Collaborate & Influence: Work with stakeholders across the business to improve processes and reporting.
  • Drive Change: Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency; your ideas matter here!
  • Adapt & Excel: Take on ad hoc projects that keep things fresh and challenging.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Exposure to accounting, ledgers, chart of accounts, trial balance
  • Forward thinking with an analytical approach when reviewing data
  • Advanced excel skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, both internally and externally

Desirable Skills And Experience

  • Keen to study ACCA/CIMA
  • Knowledge of Proclaim accounting software
  • Experience in legal sector advantageous but not essential
