A leading financial services company based in Ashby de la Zouch is seeking an organized Assistant Financial Accountant. You will assist in producing accounting information for management and undertake daily cashbook posting, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and managing staff expenses. The role offers a hybrid working model of 3 days in the office and 2 from home, along with a competitive benefits package including a holiday buy scheme and discounts on gym memberships.
Our finance team based in Ashby de la Zouch have an exciting opportunity for a detailed focused and highly organised Assistant Financial Accountant where you will assist in producing accounting information for management, group and legal reporting requirements.
This role will see you working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, we are offering hybrid working where you will work 3 days in our office in Ashby de la Zouch and 2 days from home.
As an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will assist the team with daily cashbook posting of payments, receipts and investigating open items, including unallocated cash. You will ensure accuracy and consistency of balance sheet accounts, verifying and matching balances with underlying records, including balance sheet reconciliation.
You will support with the management of staff expenses from administering and maintaining fuel cards and systems, preparing monthly expense payment runs to calculating and posting month end accruals.
In addition, you will also support the team with the completion and submission of the Office of National Statistics surveys as required ensuring accuracy and support the wider team with additional tasks and ad‑hoc projects.
