Job description

As Assistant Director of Repairs Delivery you'll be leading a team of Regional Managers who ensure the delivery of repairs, maintenance and component replacement services to improve and care for our customer's homes.

You'll be an inspirational leader who demonstrates our behaviours and values and effectively leads a really high performing service, which will include delivering emergency, urgent and routine repairs to our property portfolio.

You will provide commercial direction to the team, ensuring financial, regulatory, quality, service level agreements and KPIs are delivered through a fully engaged team.

Key Accountabilities
  • Responsibility for delivering the repairs strategy aligned with corporate objectives
  • Maximising our potential to deliver value for money for all workstreams by successfully using our DLO and maximising output
  • Ensuring that identified risks are reported to the Director of Property Services as they emerge and are reviewed to agreed timescales with appropriate robust and tested mitigation plans
  • Foreseeing future repairs and investment trends and changes in legislation in order to advise on future budget requirements
  • Managing a complete P&L budget for your specific region (one of three). Taking corrective action to ensure end of year targets are met
  • Agreeing, monitoring and being accountable for performance targets, budgets and work programmes

You will have significant experience of managing a large social housing repairs/maintenance/estates service and/or working in a regulated compliance sector.

You'll hold a professional qualification in a construction or building related discipline and/or the ability to demonstrate relevant experience.

You will be able to demonstrate a strong commercial/financial track record, alongside leading strategic business development.

Your career will evidence demonstrable experience of leadership, motivation, coaching, inspiring and engaging teams, supporting colleagues to deliver high performance across all areas of your responsibility.

You'll have a proven ability to effectively manage large and varied budget, analyse trends and forecast effectively, whilst ensuring value for money and demonstrating commercial acumen.
