Assistant Behaviour Support Officer

Polam Hall School wishes to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced individual to the following post.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Behaviour Support Officer in ensuring that all students reach their full potential by removing barriers to learning such as poor conduct.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the Prepare for Learning facility.
  • Work proactively with students who are at risk of permanent exclusion.
  • Liaise with Behaviour Support Officer, Senior Leadership Team, Pastoral Leaders, Heads of Faculty, Learning Mentor, Attendance and Welfare Officer/assistant, SEND Manager, teachers, external outreach services, and parents.
Successful Applicant

Will have experience of supporting students in an organisational setting. Working knowledge of the range of barriers young people experience in relation to achieving academic success and the ability to work strategically as part of a wider team in line with agreed behaviour management practice to support and encourage positive outcomes.

Qualifications
  • GCSE (or equivalent) essential, including English and Maths.
  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent.
