Job description
Overview

We have an exciting opportunity to join an established team as an Assessor/Coach within our Faculty of Education, working across all sites. Apprenticeships are increasingly important to the Trust, and you will work as part of the Apprenticeship Delivery Team to run this service to meet the Trust's 5-year business plan.

The Assessor/Coach is a key specialist role focusing on planning and delivery of our business and leadership apprenticeships training programmes, mainly at level 3 and level 5. This role is being offered part time for three days per week which must include a Wednesday, across both sites, fixed term/secondment until 31st October 2026. Interview for Corporate will be 16th October.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the Lead Technical Trainer to devise individual programmes in line with the needs of the Apprentice and their working area
  • Coordinate the 'on programme' element of the Apprenticeship and support collation of portfolio of evidence that showcases the Apprentice's knowledge, skills and abilities to their best standard
  • Ensure any mandatory training or internal training is mapped across into the Apprenticeship to maximise and capture naturally occurring knowledge, skills and behaviours
  • Coordinate the delivery of group based teaching sessions as and when required
  • Manage the learner journey and ensure that mandatory timelines are met such as candidate registration, completion of mandatory qualifications, gateway and EPA requirements
  • Meet regularly with the line managers to review progress and set targets in line with the programme delivery
