Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Assembly and Test Technician to join a team in Tewkesbury. This permanent role involves assembling and testing hydraulic components, primarily for the motorsport and aerospace industries, on a night shift basis. Ideal candidates should have experience in complex engineering and mechanical assembly, and be able to read engineering drawings. Qualifications

  • Proven experience within a complex engineering/manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings.
  • Experience using measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers and Height Gauges.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling of complex hydraulic products.
  • Finding and testing faults of complex hydraulic products.
  • Completing Quality Audits.
  • Building new/repairing complex hydraulic products.

Skills

Hydraulic Testing Experience

Education

Apprentice trained (or equivalent level of qualification) ideally within Mechanical Engineering

Role Overview - Assembly and Test Technician

Our leading client are looking for an experienced Assembly and Test Technician to join their team at their brand-new state of the art facility located in Tewkesbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of a large variety of hydraulic components, manufactured for the motorsport and aerospace industries. This role requires you to work on a night shift basis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Finding and testing faults of complex hydraulic products.
  • Assembling of complex hydraulic products.
  • Reading engineering drawings.
  • Completing Quality Audits.
  • Building new/repairing complex hydraulic products.
  • Using measuring equipment such as Micrometers, Vernier Calipers and Height Gauges to inspect component parts.
Key Experience & Qualifications
