A prominent university hospital in Rochester is seeking a Level II Registered Nurse to provide professional nursing services to patients and their families. The role requires a minimum of six months of RN experience and experience in NICU or Special Care Nursery. You will be responsible for clinical practice, supporting team problem solving, and ensuring a safe care environment. The position offers a pay range of $38.76 - $50.33 per hour with full-time responsibilities of 36 hours per week.
Provides professional nursing services for patients and their families and/or for the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient outcomes and improve the care environment. Nurses use the nursing process and evidence based practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.
The Level II RN, under the direction of the Nurse Manager, is accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards and the nursing process. The Level II Registered Nurse may assume expanded unit roles as available and assigned by Nurse Manager as a charge nurse or preceptor. The Level II nurse supports peers in the delivery of patient care, uses appropriate team communication methods, and practices care that reflects the patient condition and priorities. The Level II nurse provides support to team problem solving. The Level II nurse identifies opportunities for self-growth and contributes to the development of other learners. The Level II nurse contributes to safe unit environment and operations.
