About Our Client

We are seeking a driven and experienced External Sales Representative to join a leading manufacturer and supplier of clay drainage solutions serving the construction and civil engineering sectors. This field-based role focuses on developing and managing relationships with key stakeholders across the supply chain - including merchants, contractors, consultants, and end users. You'll be representing a well-established product range known for its quality, sustainability, and performance, used in infrastructure, housing, and commercial projects across the UK

Job Description
  • Identify, develop, and manage sales opportunities across your designated region
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and actively seek new business
  • Promote technical clay drainage products and solutions to contractors, consultants, specifiers, and merchants
  • Support customers with product selection, technical advice, and commercial solutions
  • Deliver presentations, CPDs, and product demonstrations as required
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams including technical, customer service, and marketing
  • Provide accurate sales forecasting and market intelligence
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and site visits
The Successful Applicant
  • Proven field sales experience in the construction, civils, or drainage products sector
  • Strong understanding of the construction supply chain and contractor/merchant networks
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and provide practical product guidance
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally
