About the role

Are you looking for a new exciting challenge working with the Area Highway Team in our Highway Depot assisting in the maintenance and management of the highway network? The County Council is looking to recruit an Area Highway Technician who will assist Local Highway Managers dealing with community requests on highway related matters, support overall delivery and management of the highways service to Gloucestershire's residents and deliver the statutory highway duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Area Highway Team in our Highway Depot and maintain the highway network.
• Support the Area Team within a designated geographical area by ordering maintenance activities through our Term Maintenance Contractor.
• Respond to community requests on highway related matters and support overall delivery and management of the highways service to Gloucestershire's residents.
• Deliver statutory highway duties.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in highways and emergency management.
• Commitment to excellent customer service.
• Fluent English for spoken aspects of a customer‑facing role (Immigration Act 2016).
