Job description

Due to growing demand for our services, we are seeking to recruit experienced Data Analysts at Consultant/ Senior Consultant grade to join our Real Estate Advisory team. The role involves supporting a wide range of Real Estate Advisory projects and requires a demonstrable track record of delivery in a consultancy environment with workplace consulting and estate portfolio data analysis experience.

Responsibilities
  • Gathering and collating data from various sources to analyse and derive insights
  • Using statistical analysis and data management tools such as MS Power BI, ArcGIS, SQL, and other statistical software to analyse data, identify patterns, and provide insights to clients
  • Providing guidance and advice on data quality issues to a wide variety of data providers
  • Managing the visibility, accuracy and transparency of data
  • Providing technical expertise and support for data analysis to non‑experts
  • Presenting findings in a clear and understandable format to produce reports and presentations for clients
  • Developing dashboards to clearly display data internally and for clients
  • Developing multi‑faceted reports with recommendations
  • Preparing presentations and other materials for client pitches and business generation
  • Inputting key information into the Turner & Townsend internal database tools
  • Utilising data‑driven insights to refine workplace and estate strategies
  • Identifying and developing ideas to further integrate data analytics across the Real Estate Advisory service offer
  • Developing bespoke analytical tools to help clients make better asset management decisions
  • Preparing detailed transition materials to ensure clients can independently operate tools developed for them
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Data Analyst
  • Strong analytic and numeracy skills with the ability to understand and present data in different representations
  • Demonstrable track record in data analytics; identifying requirements and documenting these using the appropriate tools and documentation
  • Ability to set up and manage data collection activities such as surveys and observational studies
  • End‑to‑end experience from project launch to ongoing operation of data, analytics and reporting projects
  • Strong communicator (both written and verbal) to liaise with clients, contractors and designers
  • Ability to communicate data insights effectively to leadership level stakeholders
  • Excellent capability in the use of Excel with ability to write macros to create automated dashboards, graphs and tables
  • Excellent capability in the use of Power BI to analyse and present data
  • A‑Level equivalent in mathematics and/or computing
Desirable Skills & Experience
  • Experience in a workplace consulting, real estate management or construction environment
  • Degree educated or equivalent in an analytic subject
  • Ability or desire to learn to programme in languages such as VBA and SQL
