Job Description

Working within CDPQ London’s Private equity team, the selected candidate is an integral part of the deal team, supporting it on new LBO investments as well as with portfolio company monitoring. They have the opportunity to thrive in a collaborative, informal and dynamic cultural environment of high performers.

What You Will Do
  • Participate in the evaluation of potential investment opportunities and contribute to the preparation of preliminary analyses and investment recommendation documents;
  • Support the team, by carrying out rigorous financial modelling and review of business models;
  • Contribute to the preparation of internal reports within agreed timelines;
  • Thoroughly review companies’ financial reports, establish comparable data representative of the market, by carrying out a detailed analysis;
  • Continuously research key topics and trends in targeted sectors: proactively follow the news and gather information from key sources;
  • Provide support to the team in the preparation and organization of different discussions and meetings held with partners both inside and outside of Laaisse.

What You Bring
  • Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in investment banking;
  • An undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting;
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered;
  • Excellent skills in financial analysis, particularly in leveraged buyout (LBO) modeling;
  • Excellent proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Mastery of French and English, both spoken and written;
  • Legally authorized to work in the United Kingdom;
  • Willingness to travel abroad.
