In this role you will:
- Implement and periodically review strategy to ensure that Emirates staff and key stakeholders fulfil all procedures, standards and instructions as laid out in the Airport Services Procedures.
- Achieve the ground handling performance targets set by Airport services such as flight punctuality, check in standards and baggage services standards so that Emirates remains competitive. This will be achieved through regular liaison with the management of handling and services providers in order to identify and resolve any problems.
- Ensure that adequate measures are implemented and maintained in order to protect the safety and security of the entire operation at London Gatwick. Monitor all aspects of the operation in order to achieve and maintain acceptable passenger service standards.
- Lead, guide and develop your team in order to ensure that Emirates delivers on it's promises to both our employees and passengers.
- Ensure that all administrative requirements such as monthly reports, performance reviews, baggage claims, invoice management, service failures for examples are resolved whilst providing recommendations for improvement.
- Prepare and constantly review local procedures or Diversion/Delay Handing/Disruptions and ERP processes are clear for both your team and third party stakeholders.
- Represent Emirates at appropriate official forums such as AOC meetings and sub committees, liaise with government agencies such as Customs, immigration, transport authorities and local Police.
- Develop and maintain relationships within GAL in order to exercise personal influence that will achieve the required end results for Emirates.
- Accountable for annual budgeting of revenue, expenses and capital expenditure. Within these parameters provide a cost efficient service that provides value for money. Create dynamic measurement and reporting systems for the purpose of providing periodic reports on your operation. Review overall performance of all areas in terms of costs, revenue, productivity, quality, safety and security regularly reviewing in order to resolve emerging issues.
- Accountable person (reporting official) for Emergency planning which includes maintaining the localised station ERP, training, exercising, and lobbying for change or awareness amongst the airport or internal stakeholders.
Qualification
In order to be considered for this role you must meet the following minimum requirements.
- The unrestricted right to live and work in the UK at the time of application - unfortunately we are not able to support with sponsorship at this time.
- The ability to provide a clear 5 year history check with a UK driving licence.
- At least 8 years of experience working in an Airport Operations environment, with 5 years at a Management level
- Fluent in spoken and written English

- Have experience above and below wing within your airport experience
- Be able to demonstrate how you lead and motivate diverse and sometimes dispersed workforces.
- Have experience in various airport and airline systems.
