Overview

Location: West Midlands & Midlands

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 + (based on experience) + Overtime + Company Van + Benefits

About the Role: We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Air Conditioning and Refrigeration PPM Engineer to join our growing team. This role is primarily focused on Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) works, with a strong emphasis on refrigeration systems across a variety of commercial and industrial sites within the West Midlands and broader Midlands region.

Responsibilities
  • Carry out scheduled PPM servicing and inspections on a wide range of refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
  • Diagnose, identify, and rectify any faults found during routine maintenance.
  • Ensure all maintenance is carried out in accordance with industry standards, health & safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Liaise with customers and site contacts to ensure clear communication of work carried out and any recommendations.
Key Equipment Worked On
  • Commercial refrigeration systems (cold rooms, display fridges, freezers)
  • Split A/C units and VRV/VRF systems
  • Walk-in chillers and freezer rooms
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience in refrigeration engineering, ideally within commercial or retail environments
  • Strong knowledge of PPM practices and refrigeration systems
  • FGAS Category 1 qualified (essential)
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning or equivalent
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage own workload
  • Right to work in the UK
