Qualifications

• Strong public sector/local authority experience preferred.
• ITIL & PRINCE2 certifications.

Responsibilities

• Deliver robust network solutions in line with project timelines.
• Drive root cause analysis and infrastructure improvements.
• Support security monitoring, detection & compliance.
• Collaborate with PMs and stakeholders across delivery.
• Mentor junior staff and share SME-level insights.

Overview

Are you a Network SME with deep expertise across firewalls, data networks, IPT, and wireless? We're hiring an Advanced Network Technical Specialist to support a high-impact public sector project - delivering technical solutions across a complex, multi-vendor infrastructure.

This role is ideal for someone confident in high-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and leading on infrastructure design and implementation.

This is an Outside IR35 role.

Your Technical Toolbox:

• Avaya/Extreme ERS, VSP, Wireless
• Avaya CM, Aura IPT & Identity Engines
• Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco ASA Firewalls
• SolarWinds NPM
• Windows Server/Desktop, Active Directory
• PSN compliance, Multi-VRF networks

What You'll Be Doing:

• Delivering robust network solutions in line with project timelines
• Driving root cause analysis and infrastructure improvements
• Supporting security monitoring, detection & compliance
• Collaborating with PMs and stakeholders across delivery
• Mentoring junior staff and sharing SME-level insights
• Ensuring best value from suppliers & third-party vendors

What You Bring:

• Degree in IT (or equivalent experience)
• Strong public sector/local authority experience preferred
