Job description

Are you a highly organised Administrator with strong Excel skills who enjoys working with data and supporting purchasing activity?

Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where accuracy, analysis and attention to detail really matter?

We’re pleased to be working with a market-leading and growing manufacturer based in South Birmingham who are looking to appoint a capable and proactive Administrator to support their sales analysis and purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

Working as part of a busy and collaborative team, you’ll play a key role in analysing sales information using Excel to support purchasing decisions and stock planning. You’ll be responsible for interpreting data, identifying trends and helping to forecast requirements based on sales performance, demand and lead times.

Alongside this, you’ll raise purchase orders on the ERP system, process them with suppliers and track progress through to delivery. You’ll check order acknowledgements, resolve any pricing or delivery discrepancies and ensure all order and delivery information is accurately maintained, giving the wider team clear visibility of incoming stock and spend.

You’ll liaise regularly with suppliers and internal stakeholders, coordinating deliveries and collections and ensuring everything runs smoothly. You’ll also produce regular reports for circulation across the business, maintain accurate system data and provide reliable administrative support that underpins both the sales and purchasing functions.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an administrative role
  • Strong Excel skills, with confidence analysing and manipulating sales data
  • Excellent numeracy and attention to detail
  • Experience raising purchase orders and working with ERP systems (desirable)
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Clear and professional communication skills
Benefits
  • A competitive salary of £26,000 – £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • 23 days holiday, rising to 25 with service
  • Annual bonus
  • Health cash plan and GP health line
  • Network benefits and discount package
  • Free on-site parking
  • Working hours of 8am 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8am 2pm on Fridays, giving you an early finish to start the weekend early
