The service supports people facing multiple needs and exclusion, leading to difficulties in finding and sustaining accommodation and increased risk of recurring homelessness. We are creating a new post of an addictions clinical nurse to support the Lead Nurses within the service and provide additional clinical skills and expertise to this client group. RSDA is funded until 31/03/2026 and we are awaiting confirmation of funding allocation from 01/04/2026. The successful applicant will receive a permanent contract with GMMH and may be redeployed within the Trust if required. We are seeking an Addictions Clinical Nurse who will deliver specialist support to patients accessing treatment within RSDA.

Responsibilities
  • Provide a range of clinical interventions, including detox interventions, blood borne virus screening, vaccinations, administering long-acting injectable opiate medications, and a range of physical health investigations.
  • Deliver specialist support to patients accessing treatment within RSDA, working with the Lead Nurses within the service.
Contractual and Funding Information
  • RSDA funding is in place until 31/03/2026; potential redeployment within the Trust if required.
  • The successful candidate will have a permanent contract with GMMH.
Pre-employment, DBS and Diversity
  • All positions require satisfactory pre-employment checks; see NHS Employers for details.
  • The Trust requires DBS Update Service membership for roles requiring DBS; enrolment is required and maintained during employment (fee applies).
  • We are committed to a workforce representative of the diverse communities served and to removing barriers to employment for candidates from under-represented groups (e.g., BAME, Disabled, LGBT+).
Additional Information
  • Applicants are encouraged to apply if they have direct experience of mental health, learning disability or drug and/or alcohol services, whether as a service user or a carer. We will consider relevant experience outside the NHS to calculate salary on appointment.
  • We are an approved sponsor for Skilled Worker visas; sponsorship availability varies by role. Review eligible roles and salary requirements on the UK Government website.
