Qualifications

  • One year of experience in substance abuse or as a patient care technician is required.
  • CNA certification and BCLS required.
  • CPI training within 30 days and First Aid certification within 90 days are necessary.

Work location: Addiction Recovery Center, 240 North Miller Road Mansfield, TX 76063

Work hours: Full time, Nights 6:45p - 7:15a, rotating weekends and holidays

Here’s What You Need
  • High school diploma or equivalent. One year of experience in substance abuse or as a patient care technician is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent with CNA certification is required.
  • Associate’s degree in mental health or another healthcare-related field is required.
  • One year of experience in substance abuse and/or addiction is preferred.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 30 Days required.
  • AHAFA – American Heart Association First Aid Certification must be maintained 90 Days required.

  • Therapeutic communication is key when interacting with patients, collaborating with the Wellness and Recovery care team, and working effectively with nursing staff, all while exemplifying active listening and non-verbal communication elements.
