Overview

Description Accounts Assistant. To ensure that accurate and up-to-date accounting information is kept for the business

Responsibilities

• Purchase Ledger: Receive all invoices, ensuring that they are allocated to an expense heading, and have been approved for payment.
• Post all invoices, follow up and investigate missing invoices after agreement of monthly statement, and arrange payment of creditors.
• Monthly reconciliation of bank account; assist Divisional Accountant with production of Management Accounts.
• Cashier duties: Reconciliation and posting of daily banking.
• Sales Ledger: Allocation of funds received, credit control, periodic meeting with managers to resolve aged queries.
• Engage and comply with the Company’s "Treating Customers Fairly" policy.
• Attend training courses as required; maintain qualifications; keep abreast of technical developments.

Qualifications

• You will have 2/3 years solid accounting experience - motor retail and Kerridge experience would be an advantage
