  • Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly VAT and CIS returns.
  • Support general office administration as required.

About the Job:

A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager across a wide range of responsibilities. This role will provide exposure to every part of the finance function, making it ideal for someone seeking variety and progression.

Duties will include:
  • Managing both sales and purchase ledgers, including invoice processing, credit control, reconciliations, and BACS payment runs
  • Performing bank reconciliations and overseeing petty cash and Excel-based cashbooks
  • Inputting weekly timesheets and preparing payroll-related reports, including weekly staff payments and CIS
  • Producing monthly financial reports including P&L, Balance Sheet and Trial Balance
  • Preparing and submitting monthly and quarterly VAT and CIS returns
  • Supporting with general office administration as required
About the Successful Applicant:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar finance role, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work independently. Proficiency with Sage is advantageous, alongside sound accounting knowledge and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
