Job description
Overview

We’re looking for a motivated and detail oriented Accounts Assistant to join the Finance team at MotorSport Vision in a group role supporting all five of our UK race circuits: Brands Hatch, Donington Park, Snetterton, Oulton Park, and Cadwell Park. This varied position will involve around 80% purchase ledger work, with the remaining 20% focused on sales ledger duties and credit control support, giving you the opportunity to gain experience across different areas of the finance function.

Working closely with the Accounts Controller, you’ll play an important part in ensuring the Purchase Ledger is accurate and up to date, fully reflecting the company’s purchases. You’ll also provide support with other finance tasks as required, helping the department run efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Matching, checking, and coding invoices – ensuring all invoices are accurate, coded to the correct accounts, and comply with company procedures
  • Monitoring the ledger accounts inbox – reviewing incoming emails, logging invoices, and responding promptly to supplier and internal queries
  • Assisting with the management of the sales ledger – raising invoices, allocating payments, and supporting the Accounts Controller with credit control when required
  • Handling supplier and internal queries – investigating discrepancies and resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Preparing BACS payments – collating and processing payment runs in line with company deadlines, ensuring suppliers are paid on time
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing records – entering accurate details into the system, updating information, and ensuring compliance with internal controls
  • Reconciling supplier statements – checking balances against company records to identify and correct any variances
  • Filing and organising invoices – maintaining an efficient and accurate filing system to support smooth audit and reporting processes
You will be / have
  • Previous accounts experience working with a high volume of invoices
  • Educated to at least A level standard or equivalent
  • High level of detail and accuracy
  • Confident in communicating with various departments across the business
  • Strong Microsoft package experience (Word, Excel & Outlook)

This is a permanent, 42.5 hour a week full time Accounts Assistant position based in the office at Brands Hatch Race Circuit, DA3 8NG. Due to our location, you’ll be required to have a full UK driving licence as public transport options are limited.
