Responsibilities

We are seeking to appoint an Accounts Assistant to work as part of a small but busy team in Cambridge, to support the finance processes for the University Biomedical Services Department. Primarily, the role holder will provide administrative support to the UBS finance team; carrying out monthly finance processes including processing AP and AR invoices using the SoftCo system. This will include staff expense claim processing within the Concur system, as well as resolving both customer and supplier queries with the support of the Chief Accounts Clerk. The role holder will also be primary point of contact for all queries.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will be an approachable person, educated with at least five GCSE's grades A-C including English and Mathematics (or equivalent) with excellent communication skills. They must be able to manage their own workload, prioritising tasks and working to deadlines independently with minimal supervision. The successful applicant will be computer literate.
