To be successful in this role our client has said it is essential that candidates:

  • are fluent in Mandarin
  • have ACCA/CPA qualification
  • have team management experience

What You'll be Doing:

  • Plan, organise, and oversee the monthly, quarterly, and yearly tasks of the team
  • Supervise and support daily operations of the accounting team (e.g., AP, AR, GL)
  • Review and approve day-to-day accounting transactions and activities
  • Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closings
  • Maintain and enforce strong internal controls in line with accounting standard, tax regulations and company policies
  • Oversee the preparation of financial reports, statements, and audit schedules
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate accounting team performance
  • Identify process inefficiencies and implement best practices for improved workflow
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for improved working processes
  • Monitor the department’s performance against KPIs and objectives
  • Prepare budgets and revenue forecasts
  • Establish and maintain accounting policies and procedures aligned with company goals

The Skills You'll Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Progressive experience in accounting, including team leadership. Working experiences in accounting firms preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, auditing practices and tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (SAP preferred)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, charts, formulas, data analysis)
  • Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • ACCA/CPA or equivalent certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism
