Overview

Cobham (100% Office Based) • 8:30am - 5:00pm • Up to £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Accountant looking to join a creative and fast-paced business? Our client, a vibrant company based in Cobham, is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day financial operations and support the business with insightful financial management.

Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes
  • Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations
  • Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and payments
  • Maintain accurate general ledger and financial records
  • Support month-end and year-end closing procedures
  • Reconcile supplier accounts and resolve discrepancies
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow monitoring
  • Prepare client proposals and project costings (training provided)
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies
  • Provide financial insights to support business decisions
Additional Duties
  • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve queries
  • Maintain organised financial and purchasing documentation
  • Support with ad-hoc finance projects and reporting
  • Assist with general office finance tasks (e.g., petty cash, expenses)
The Ideal Candidate
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Sage, Xero, or similar accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
