The client

A prestigious single-family office based in London is seeking a 6-9PQE Corporate/Private Equity Lawyer to join its lean and high-calibre team. This newly created role will report directly to the General Counsel and play a key role in advising the family office on a broad range of legal matters. The successful candidate will support a sophisticated and growing organisation with a multi-asset investment portfolio spanning public and private markets, real estate, and estate planning.

The role

• The Legal Director will support the business with direct investment and also investments into private markets sector.
• They will work closely with investment teams and external counsel to ensure smooth transaction execution and provide legal insight into investment structures, financing arrangements, and cross-border exits.
• They will assist the General Counsel in managing relationships with external legal, tax, and fiduciary advisors, while providing timely, pragmatic legal advice to principals and senior stakeholders. The role requires close coordination with internal teams across investments, finance, tax, HR, and philanthropy.
