Description

V.Ships Leisure is looking for 2nd Cook on behalf of Orient Express Sailing Yachts.

The 2nd Cook is responsible for the production of all food items onboard (Guest and Crew), according to standards established by the culinary partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • The 2nd Cook be assigned a station in the galley to prepare all food items for the vessel.
  • Assists with the transportation of food items from the main stores to the galley when assigned.
  • Duties include the cleaning and sanitizing of their working area and working utensils following the United States Public Health rules and regulations and all times.
  • Will be assigned occasionally in an early standby in the galley for USPH purposes.
  • Is aware of and/or acquires the necessary knowledge to comply with the ship’s standard operation, to assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
  • Active participation in onboard training programs.
  • Additional duties, not mentioned here, will be expected as per management request.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
  • Languages: Fluent English.
  • Education: High school degree or related. Culinary training mandatory.
  • Previous professional experience: 2 years in a similar capacity in a luxury culinary environment.
  • Shipboard experience: Not required but preferred.
  • Valid STCW certificates.
  • Valid Pre-Employment Medical.
  • C1D visa mandatory for all positions.
