Qualifications

1-1 Support Assistant - Leeds

Are you a passionate KS1 Teaching Assistant with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Our client, a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leeds, is looking for a dedicated and nurturing TA to join their KS1 team.

About the Role
  • Support children in the KS1 team.
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with a range of additional needs (including ASD, speech & language, and developmental delay).
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals to implement individual learning plans (EHCPs).
  • Foster a caring, creative, and inclusive learning environment that encourages every child to thrive.
About You
  • Experience working with KS1 pupils, ideally within a primary school setting.
  • Proven background supporting children with SEN (Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language needs, etc.).
  • Knowledge of EYFS curriculum and child development principles.
  • Empathetic, patient, and proactive in approach.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
