A leading aerospace company in Toulouse is seeking a skilled engineer to join their Propulsion Control System (PCS) Integration team. You will contribute to the design and integration for the A350XWB program, ensuring safe and efficient interactions between aircraft and propulsion systems. Ideal candidates should have a 5-year engineering degree, strong communication skills, and knowledge of aeronautical propulsion. The role supports collaboration with international stakeholders while traveling to UK partners like Rolls Royce may be necessary.
The Propulsion Control System (PCS) is a complex and critical system for the aircraft. It is composed of several electronic computers in charge of controlling and monitoring engines, thrust reverser and interfaced with several other aircraft systems (around 40).
Our team is responsible for integrating the Propulsion Control System to the aircraft. Our mission is to develop the functions that will ensure a safe and efficient integration between the aircraft systems, pilots, and the propulsion systems according to the needs of each of them. We actively contribute to the support of our in-service aircraft to the incremental development of our product family and to the preparation of new technologies introduction (hydrogen fuel, electrical propulsion, automation, new cockpit generation…).
You will be part of the Propulsion Control System (PCS) Integration team – a very competent, collaborating, diverse and welcoming team inside the Design Office of Airbus (Commercial Aircraft). It is a service of 23 people covering the whole in-service fleet for the PCS where well-being and warm welcoming is at heart of our values.
In collaboration with an important diversity of actors you will contribute to design and integrate the PCS for the A350XWB program; your main accountabilities will include:
You will interact with a large community of international stakeholders inside Airbus (Chief Engineers, experts, flight test production, customer support) and also with external industrial partners such as Engine manufacturer.
Some figures: 7 Airbus people in the project team including the work package leaders, budget around 1.5 M€/year, 55% make around 2 software in development for 2 different engines.
Travels to visit Rolls Royce UK have to be anticipated.
