Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our Technology M&A team in Paris. The successful candidate will play a leadership role in the origination and execution of M&A transactions across software, digital platforms, IT services, and emerging technology subsectors. This role requires strong transaction execution skills, deep sector knowledge, and the ability to manage client relationships in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of buy-side, sell-side, and strategic advisory mandates in the technology sector.
  • Manage transaction processes, including financial modelling, valuation analysis, due diligence coordination, and preparation of client presentations.
  • Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients, investors, and other advisors throughout the deal lifecycle.
  • Drive business development initiatives, support senior bankers in pitching new opportunities, and contribute to the expansion of Jefferies’ technology franchise in France and Europe.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with entrepreneurs, corporates, and private equity investors in the French technology ecosystem.
  • Mentor and oversee Associates and Analysts, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate closely with Jefferies’ global technology team to leverage cross-border expertise and deal flow.
  • Stay abreast of technology trends, market dynamics, and regulatory considerations in France and Europe.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5-7 years of investment banking experience, with a focus on M&A advisory; strong exposure to the technology sector is essential.
  • Proven track record of executing complex M&A transactions in France and / or Europe.
  • Deep knowledge of the French technology market and investor landscape.
  • Strong technical skills in valuation, financial modelling, and deal structuring.
  • Fluent in French and English (both written and spoken).
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage senior client relationships.
  • Team-oriented, entrepreneurial mindset with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
  • Strong academic background in finance, economics, business, engineering, or a related discipline.
