This includes managing Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams while ensuring security and efficiency. Main Functions

We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Administrator to lead the design, administration, and integration of our Microsoft 365 environment and collaboration platforms. This high-level technical role ensures the stability, security, and efficiency of Microsoft 365 services—including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and the underlying Entra ID (Azure AD) identity platform—while driving enterprise-scale projects such as mergers and acquisitions, tenant-to-tenant migrations, and modern workplace innovations. You will work closely with IT teams (security, infrastructure, identity, endpoint) and business stakeholders to enable secure, productive, and scalable digital workspaces.

Responsibilities
  • Tenant Administration & Governance – Oversee daily administration of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, Office apps). Monitor the Microsoft 365 Message Center, coordinate rollout of new features, and enforce governance policies. Implement SharePoint governance strategies, retention labels, Teams policies, and collaboration best practices.
  • User & License Management – Administer user and service accounts in Entra ID. Manage licenses, roles, and group memberships. Ensure efficient onboarding and offboarding through automated processes and reclaim unused licenses while preserving data.
  • Identity Security & Access Management – Implement MFA, phishing-resistant authentication, Conditional Access, Entra-first strategy, and federation (e.g., managed Apple IDs, WhatsApp). Automate joiner-mover-leaver (JML) workflows, role-based provisioning, and periodic access reviews.
  • Exchange Online Administration – Manage mailboxes, distribution groups, retention policies, and security settings (anti-spam, anti-phishing). Troubleshoot complex mail flow issues and coordinate with Microsoft support.
  • SharePoint Online & OneDrive Management – Govern sites and storage usage, external sharing policies, permissions, and retention. Lead content migrations from file servers and other platforms, ensuring integrity and compliance.
  • Microsoft Teams Administration – Administer Teams tenant-wide (policies, channels, meetings, guest access, external domains) including Teams Phone System. Ensure adoption, governance, and troubleshooting at scale.
  • Intune & Device Compliance – Manage integration with Endpoint Manager for device compliance, conditional access, application deployment, and secure access to Microsoft 365 services. Align device and collaboration policies across mobile, Windows, and macOS endpoints.
  • Integration & Migration Projects – Lead M&A tenant-to-tenant migrations (mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and global rollouts of M365 services. Plan, coordinate, and execute projects ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption.
  • Security & Compliance Management – Configure and maintain DLP, retention labels, sensitivity labels, and auditing in Microsoft Purview. Implement periodic permission audits, data loss prevention, and compliance with corporate / industry regulations.
  • Automation & Optimization – Develop PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API scripts for automation, reporting, onboarding, license assignments, and compliance. Continuously streamline processes to increase efficiency.
  • Monitoring, Incident & Problem Management – Monitor service health and analytics across Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Entra ID. Provide Tier-3 support, manage incident escalation, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem resolution in line with ITIL standards.
  • Digital Employee Experience & Adoption – Define user personas, collect user sentiment, track adoption metrics, and improve workflows.
  • AI Governance & Innovation – Lead adoption and governance of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI features. Ensure alignment with compliance, data residency, and ethical frameworks. Monitor usage, establish guardrails, and drive value through AI innovation.
  • Roadmap & Strategic Alignment – Deliver initiatives aligned with the Modern Work & Collaboration roadmap: SharePoint governance, retention, Teams Voice, Outlook migration, Adobe Cloud integration, CDN deployment, Copilot adoption, data organization, Fabric initiatives, and security score improvements.
Technical skills

Required

  • Microsoft 365 Administration – Expert administration of Exchange (on-prem and online), SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Intune, and Office apps with strong governance and security practices.
  • Entra ID (Azure AD) – Advanced expertise in user / group management, Conditional Access, MFA, federation, application SSO, and hybrid identity synchronization (AD Connect).
  • Security & Compliance – Strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview, DLP, retention, sensitivity labels, eDiscovery, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and compliance centers.
  • PowerShell & Automation – Advanced scripting to automate admin tasks, reporting, and compliance. Experience with Microsoft Graph API for advanced automation.
  • Migration Tools – Skilled in Exchange Online migration (cutover / staged / hybrid), SharePoint Migration Tool, Quest, ShareGate, and other tenant-to-tenant migration methods.
  • Intune & Endpoint Manager – Hands-on management of device compliance, policy enforcement, application deployment, and integration with Conditional Access.
  • Hybrid Environments – Strong understanding of coexistence between on-prem AD / Exchange and Microsoft 365.
  • Networking & Security Integration – Familiarity with DNS, certificates, VPN, Zero Trust principles, and firewall integrations impacting M365 services.
  • Troubleshooting Utilities – Skilled with diagnostic tools (Message Trace, M365 network connectivity analyzers, Support and Recovery Assistant, etc.) for deep problem resolution.
  • AI & Emerging Tools – Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, AI adoption metrics, and responsible configuration of emerging Microsoft AI services.
  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience : 7-10 years of hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 (Office 365) or similar cloud collaboration platforms in a business environment. Prior experience in IT infrastructure or systems administration is advantageous to provide a strong foundation.
  • Certifications (preferred) :

  • SC-300 (Identity & Access Administrator)
  • SC-400 (Information Protection & Compliance)
  • Teams Administrator (MS-720)
  • Methodologies : Familiarity with ITIL practices for incident, problem, and change management.

  • Must be fluent in English (speaking French, Portuguese, Spanish is an asset)

General criteria
  • Travel : Willingness to travel internationally to our offices as needed. Occasional travel may be required for project rollouts, on-site training, or IT integration efforts at global sites. (Valid passport and any necessary travel documents / vaccinations are required.)
  • Work Hours : This role is based in France (with a hybrid work arrangement). Standard business hours with flexibility for off-hour maintenance or emergency response. You may need to be on-call for critical issues on a rotational basis.
  • Legal Authorization : Must have legal authorization to work in France. (If you are based in another country, authorization in that location is required, and you’ll coordinate with our global IT remotely.)
