Senior Laboratory Technician/Engineer – Early CMC / Lead Identification
We are an innovative biotech company specializing in the development of next-generation therapeutics (single-domain antibodies, conjugates, siRNA, etc.). Our agile and passionate R&D team works on cutting‑edge projects in immunology, oncology, and rare diseases.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Laboratory Technician to join our Early CMC / Lead Identification team. The ideal candidate is an experienced cell biologist with hands‑on expertise in cellular binding assays (FACS), internalization identification, RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, and cell culture. This role is central to the early qualification of therapeutic candidates and requires strong experimental rigor, autonomy, and the ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic biotech environment. The role reports directly to the Director, Early CMC.
Work location: Paris (15ème)
Full-time permanent contract
Keys responsibilities
Cell-based Assays & Lead Characterization:
- Perform cellular binding assays by flow cytometry (FACS) to characterize candidate molecules.
- Design and execute internalization assays (microscopy, FACS-based internalization, etc.).
- Prepare and maintain cell lines needed for screening and characterization.
Molecular & Cellular Biology
- Perform RNA extraction, reverse transcription, and RT-qPCR for gene expression profiling and target quantification.
- Perform protein extraction and Western Blots for protein levels quantification.
- Quantitatively analyze internalization or signaling markers from cell-based experiments.
Cell Culture & Model Development
- Culture, expand, and bank a variety of cell lines (adherent and suspension).
- Validate cellular models for target expression (flow cytometry, RT-qPCR).
Data Collection, Analysis & Reporting
- Ensure rigorous data recording following internal quality standards (ELN, SOPs).
- Analyze and interpret experimental results; present data to project teams.
- Contribute to troubleshooting and optimization of experimental workflows.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Antibody Discovery, Chemistry, and CMC teams to support pipeline progression.
- Participate in the development of early CMC packages (binding, internalization, expression analysis).
Qualifications & Experience required
- Bachelor or Master’s degree (BTS, DUT, Licence, Master, or equivalent) in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or a related field.
- ≥7-10 years of laboratory experience in biotech, pharma, or academic research (industry experience preferred).
- Familiarity with early CMC workflows and lead evaluation is a plus.
- Hands‑on experience with flow cytometry (FACS) for cellular binding assays is required.
- Strong experience with RNA extraction, RT-qPCR, and quantitative data analysis.
- Expertise in cell culture and good aseptic technique.
- Experience performing internalization assays or related cellular uptake studies.
- Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple experiments in parallel.
