Overview

As a key leader within the International Oncology organization, the Senior Director Regional Marketing is responsible for driving the regional, cross‑portfolio marketing strategy and ensuring strong partnership between country marketing teams and global brand leadership. You will translate global strategy into regional and local operational execution and provide critical insights from international markets back to the global organization. Reporting to the VP Oncology International, you will design, lead, and evolve the Regional Marketing function to maximize portfolio performance and enable successful launches across the pipeline.

Responsibilities
  • Driving regional execution of the oncology portfolio strategy and ensuring strong cross‑functional alignment.

  • Leading LRR reviews in close collaboration with International Tumor Leads (ITLs).

  • Partnering with the VP Oncology International to ensure alignment across Medical, Commercial, Access, and other key functions.

  • Leading regional preparation for global launches and ensuring markets are set up for success.

  • Working with Finance to ensure the portfolio budget reflects the latest market dynamics.

  • Developing regional portfolio strategies in collaboration with Global Brand Leads.

  • Shaping cross‑country prioritization decisions, including resource allocation and budget optimization.

  • Providing structured, meaningful insights into global teams and supporting Regional Tumor Leads in defining strategic direction per brand and indication.

  • Owning the regional marketing co‑creation process, including agenda, participants, and deliverables.

  • Ensuring alignment with Country Managers on plans, timelines, and execution milestones.

  • Reporting progress and operational timelines to the international Oncology Leadership Team (iOLT).

  • Partnering with Global Therapeutic Leads and Global Oncology/Hematology leadership on strategy and key portfolio milestones.

  • Leading and developing the team of Regional Tumor Leads (RTLs).

  • Maintaining the highest levels of compliance and ethical standards across all marketing activities.

  • Acting as a key contributor to organizational change initiatives supporting the future oncology strategy.

  • Designing the digital strategy and roadmap for the regional oncology portfolio.

  • Building and scaling marketing capabilities required for upcoming launches and future pipeline needs.

Qualifications
This role is for you, if you bring:
  • A Bachelor’s degree; preference for a scientific or medical background.

  • 10+ years of biotech/pharma brand marketing experience, including 2+ years in people leadership.

  • Demonstrated success hiring, developing, coaching, and retaining high‑performing teams.

  • Strong experience managing agencies and external partners.

  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast‑paced, and evolving environments.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, prioritization, and project management skills.

To be considered for this role, you must have:
  • High personal integrity and strong ethical standards.

  • Understanding of varying healthcare compliance codes and promotional regulations across markets.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 50%, including occasional weekends for congresses or meetings.

Preferred qualifications are:
  • Experience in oncology marketing.

  • Prior launch experience in global or multi‑market environments.
