Start of contract (fixed-term contract): 02/01/2026
Duration : 12 months
Location: day pass framework – category 3bis
Location: Photovoltaic Institute of Île-de-France (IPVF) – UMR 9006 CNRS, located at 18 boulevard Thomas Gobert, 91120 Palaiseau, France
Located at the heart of the Paris-Saclay Cluster, a flagship of French scientific and industrial excellence, SATT Paris-Saclay has an investment capacity of 83 million euros over 12 years to finance the maturation of innovative projects from the member laboratories of the Paris-Saclay Cluster and to enable, at the end of the maturation phase, a technology transfer.
As part of the HELIOSPHERE project, carried out in partnership with the UMR IPVF (Institut Photovoltaïque d'Ile-de-France), SATT Paris Saclay is recruiting a maturation engineer on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12 months. Depending on the success of this first part of the project, the possibility of another 12-month contract may be offered to the successful candidate.
The IPVF Joint Research Unit UMR (9006) aims to carry out fundamental research on the key skills in this field and to be at the origin of innovations in analytical techniques, processes and devices relevant to the development of photovoltaic energy.
It is one of the components of the Photovoltaic Institute of Ile-de-France. The HELIOSPHERE project aims to design thin-film solar cells for autonomous systems.
The Maturation Engineer will be responsible for the design, manufacturing, and optimization of high-performance devices, up to the prototype stage. In this role, they will work on modularization and connectivity based on previously optimized cells. They will work closely with the engineer in charge of developing active layers.
Holder of a doctorate (or master's degree + ≥ 2 years of experience) in (opto-)electronics or microtechnologies, the maturation engineer has initial laboratory experience, particularly in the manufacture of opto-electronic devices in clean rooms (lithography, encapsulation, vacuum deposition, etc.). He enjoys building small objects or prototypes and working in a team.
Knowledge of photovoltaics is useful but not essential.
