Quality Lead (Manufacturing)

Overview

Quality Lead (Manufacturing) is responsible for all aspects of quality for Major Projects/NFPS projects as a member of the NFPS Shared Services Quality team. Ensure the quality of products and processes throughout the manufacturing lifecycle by developing and implementing quality control procedures, monitoring production, investigating issues, and driving continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Create and implement quality control plans, procedures, and documentation to ensure products and processes meet established standards and specifications.
  • Conduct inspections and tests during manufacturing to identify defects or deviations from quality standards.
  • Investigate quality issues, perform root cause analysis (e.g., Fishbone Diagram, 5 Whys), and develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Maintain accurate records of quality control activities, including inspection reports, test results, and non-conformance reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and other teams to address quality issues, communicate quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Ensure manufacturing processes and products comply with relevant industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and enhance product quality through best practices and lean manufacturing principles.
  • Lead or participate in Quality Management System audits to ensure full compliance with company requirements and applicable international codes and standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sciences or Engineering.
  • 10 years of experience in Quality in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 3 years in a supervisory or oversight role (acting roles or oversight of service/vendor personnel).
  • Experience with Oil & Gas companies, Contractors, or Service Companies. Experience in large-scale operating organizations in Operations, Projects, etc. Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools. Knowledge of industry standards.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, industry regulations, and performance improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of relevant Quality Systems, specifications, and tools. Proficiency with Quality Analysis Tools and Root Cause Failure Analysis.
  • Ability to document quality plans, Inspection and Tests Plans (ITPs), and other relevant documents clearly and concisely.
  • Knowledge of various testing and inspection methods (destructive and non-destructive) and ability to interpret results.
  • Good computer literacy with proficiency in industry electrical software, systems, and advanced skills in Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
