About the role

You will be instrumental in driving our Sustainability procurement agenda, putting Essential Home at the forefront of sustainability in its sector and unlocking long term value growth.

Your responsibilities

OVERALL: your role is responsible for leading and driving sustainability initiatives within the procurement process. This role ensures that the company’s sourcing strategies align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) objectives while optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency. The lead will collaborate with various stakeholders to integrate sustainability into supplier relationships, procurement policies, and decision-making processes.

  • Lead sustainable sourcing strategy with internal stakeholders, external partners and suppliers
  • Develop supplier relationships (engagement & collaboration) that support sustainable practices and operate supply chain due diligence programmes: labour standards/human rights, responsible sourcing
  • Identify sustainable alternatives by working closely with R&D and suppliers
  • Monitor suppliers’ performance, investigating corrective actions as needed
  • Identify ways to minimize the carbon footprint of Procurement activities
  • Embed Sustainable practices into Procurement policies (SOP)
The experience we are looking for

The successful candidate will be a self-starter that is able to work independently and possess the ability to collaborate, motivate and work effectively with variety of different internal and external employees and stakeholders, to inspire a positive culture of respect for strong human rights and environmental standards within our entire value chain.

  • Solid experience (7Y+) in procurement, supply chain management, or sustainability.
  • Understanding of sustainable sourcing, green procurement practices, and corporate sustainability initiatives.
  • Experience in supplier management, negotiation, and contract management with a focus on sustainability.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks, certifications (e.g., ISO 14001, Fair Trade), and ESG reporting.
  • Excellent communication, and leadership skills.
  • Strong ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in the business and get things done - Flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem-solving skills
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail is critical
