A leading semiconductor company in France is looking for a Principal / Expert Analog & Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer. This role involves leading the design and verification of analog IPs while mentoring a team of engineers. Ideal candidates have over 15 years of experience and possess strong skills in transistor-level design and team leadership. The position is based in Paris or Grenoble, offering a competitive salary based on experience.

  • Deep knowledge of advanced nodes (e.g., 28nm FDSOI, 7nm FinFET).

Position: Principal / Expert Analog & Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Location: Paris (preferred) or Grenoble, France
Industry: Semiconductor – SoC / FPGA

Our client is a pioneering and fast-growing European semiconductor company specializing in SoC FPGA solutions, with engineering teams based in Paris and the South of France. As part of their continued expansion, they are now looking for a Principal / Expert Analog & Mixed-Signal Engineer to take a technical leadership role within their Analog R&D team.

This is a hands-on and strategic position, suited to a senior engineer with deep analog IC expertise and proven leadership capability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or contribute to the design and verification of advanced analog IPs including:
    voltage regulators, charge pumps, bandgaps, voltage/temperature sensors, PLLs, and converters
  • Act as technical authority for analog design topics
  • Supervise and mentor a team of analog designers
  • Drive design reviews, simulations, and ensure high-quality execution
  • Define and maintain design checklists and development processes
  • Collaborate with system architects and cross-functional teams to align specifications
  • Oversee pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation planning
  • Contribute to lab debug and root cause analysis of silicon issues
  • Produce clear documentation of design decisions and performance results

Key Requirements:

  • 15+ years of experience in analog/mixed-signal IC design
  • Deep knowledge of transistor-level design using Cadence tools
  • Experience in advanced nodes (e.g., 28nm FDSOI, 7nm FinFET)
  • Solid background in Analog IPs such as I/Os, PLLs, converters, and high-speed links
  • Understanding of parasitics and analog layout challenges
  • Experience with lab measurement techniques and validation methods
  • Strong communication skills and ability to lead technical discussions across teams
